Wow thats amazing, love the Zebra/horse cross. Never seen one that looked like that one before. And the Knabstrupper/paint cross LOL that is wild (horse with the spots)
  • That first one looks like a horse head or reminds me of a seahorse

O'Neils horse Smoove It has a Sea Horse marking too, except its facing the opposite way lol
  • I think that Rachel Alexandra's face marking is interesting. Zenyatta's face marking is also interesting. I also love City Zip's face marking.

When we do Coggins exams/tests for horses leaving the state, part of the documentation is a description of the horses' markings. We usually take photos, but then we have to draw them on the form. That's the easy part. Then we have to describe what they are. We had one last week where we were trying to one up with a good description. Literally, it looked like a very wide snip but not enough to be called a bald muzzle. Sometimes it's called creative writing lol
  • I think that War Front also has a very neat face marking
  • Casey, 'creative writing'....that's cute. How about 'wild paintbrush'???
  • I love the appy! I have no idea where to find a photo of her, but I used to ride a welsh pony mare that was a strawberry roan. She had a fairly wide blaze with a strawberry roan mark right between her eyes that was shaped like an eye. She was nicknamed 3 eyes.
  • A couple of horses from my country (Finland). The first one is a Finnish Warmblood, the second one a son of the dressage stallion Totilas. That chestnut baby was appropriately named Totally Joker because of the facial marking.
