The following rules govern the use of our forums. Registration and participation in the forum constitutes agreement to abide by these rules. Please take time to read and understand the rules before posting.

Our moderators have the ability to move, delete and lock threads, to edit or delete posts and to ban accounts temporarily or permanently. The moderators cannot read every comment, and therefore rely on members to report problems that they encounter. The point of moderation is not to limit discussion or promote or suppress points of view, but to keep the forums enjoyable and free from problems that detract from the experiences of all users.

Zenyatta.com cannot and will not be held responsible for the content in these forums. We assume no responsibility to monitor the forums but may do so at our discretion. Member posted content may be removed at any time without prior notice. We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time.

The responsibilities of a forum member:

1. Be respectful. It’s okay to disagree with others as long as it is done respectfully and maturely. Do not attack other members in your posts or comments. Rudeness or disrespect directed at other members and their opinions is not tolerated.

2. If you have a problem with a post or a member here, please do not deal with it publicly. Please send them a private message to discuss the matter. Or, if you do not feel comfortable with this, contact an administrator to help resolve or mediate the matter.

3. Please remember to provide the source for every image you share with us here. Please read and follow the rules for posting images that can be found here.

4. Do not post links without clearly describing the content you are linking to and where the link will take you.

5. Please refrain from posting images taken from “private” social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter etc.). If you have to be a “friend” to see the pictures, please respect that privacy.

6. Each member is responsible for only his or her own posts. If another member breaks rules, you may ignore them or report the problem to the moderators, but you may not use it as an excuse to break rules yourself.

7. Do not attempt to enforce the forum rules. Instead, contact a moderator. Do not start or participate in debates over rule violations or the behavior of other members.

8. Although we do not read private messages sent between forum members, the rules for appropriate and inappropriate content apply to them as well.

The following are not permitted in any shape or form, and are grounds for a formal warning, suspension or a permanent ban:

1. Name-calling, harassment, and direct personal insults of other members or moderators is not allowed under any circumstances.

2. Any threat or intimation of a threat is an instantly bannable offense.

3. Profanity, abusive language and offensive images or videos will not be tolerated.

4. Publishing the personal information of another member without their permission is not allowed.

5. Sharing the content of private messages on the forums is not allowed.

6. Advertisements, chain letters, spam, promotional material and links to such material are not allowed. You may not make posts to promote commercial or personal websites, products, or services. Such posts and threads will be deleted. The sharing of creative endeavors (poetry, fiction, art, etc) is permissible if it is relevant in subject to the Zenyatta Forums (horses, racing, breeding, etc.) and will benefit the community. Anything posted merely for personal profit will be deleted at the discretion of the administrators.

7. Soliciting members to sell or purchase anything is strictly prohibited.

8. Multiple accounts are not allowed. Each member may only have one account. Do not share your account with anyone else. If you have forgotten your password or login information, please contact an administrator. Do not create a new account. If you were banned, you may not reregister. Reinstatement can come only from an administrator.

Before posting, please consider the following:

1. If starting a new discussion, please choose a title that accurately reflects the contents and information within the thread.

2. Please take care to place new discussions in the most appropriate category. Read category descriptions before starting new discussions.

3. Familiarize yourself with the rules and guidelines for posting images on the forum. Images that are not posted according to these rules will be removed without warning. Users who continually break these rules will receive formal warnings.

4. Do not post in all caps. In message board language it is considered yelling, and as such, rude and offensive. If a thread title or post is typed in caps, it may be edited or deleted at a moderator's discretion.

5. Please think about how you use font sizes, styles and colors. It can easily be overdone, distracting and hard to read. Posts made in this manner may be edited or deleted at a moderator's discretion.

6. If you are quoting another member's post and the post has a picture in it, please edit out the image before submitting your reply. “Quoting” an image (posting it again in your quote) takes up space on our server and also drains the bandwidth of the web site from which the image has been taken.

7. Editing comments: You may edit your comments up to 4 hours after posting. We suggest that you use this privilege to correct grammar, spelling, typos, and to add image credits but that you do not make significant changes to the content and information in your comments. Such behavior can be confusing and misleading to other members. Editing comments for the purpose of avoiding moderation is strictly prohibited.

8. Please refrain from crossposting, or posting the same message in multiple discussions. Crossposting and repeated off-topic posts are considered spam and are not allowed.

9. Avoid double posting. Posting immediately after your own last post (with no one else in between) is highly discouraged, unless the new post includes new or different information. If you can consolidate ideas into a single comment, please do so.

Members who frequently violate our crossposting and double posting rules will receive a warning from the moderators.

If you need help, send a private message to an administrator or email us at forum@zenyatta.com. Please do not start a discussion or post comments as means of requesting moderation. Questions about using the forum that can be answered by members and administrators alike can be asked in the Tech Support & Tutorials category.
