I've been waiting for the foremost intellectual writers to come forth. I've waited for one from the SDNY in particular...he came, he wrote, and it was most spectacularly nothing...
    ...now be careful here...
    Did I expect that?
Yes I did, but was hoping for something more.
    The dude is gonna walk.
    Gotta ask
How the f is this possible?
Gotta ask, you're fing kidding me?
    ..and the beat goes on.

I had walked through this wooded shoreline
    Over fallen trees
Through overgrowth... into a small clearing
At a tip of a small cove
I looked around and could see nobody had been there in a long time.
I used a purple plastic worm....threw into the water once....drug and popped, nothing...
    I sat
I saw an old semi submerged log, just within cast... I knew he was there.
    Bass...big bass... I knew it.
Throw one time and he hit big
I gave him a big kiss and he swam away
    I was taught that
A big kiss and letm go
    He winked
    I swear

  • whoodlerwhoodler Member
Does that mean you got it?
  • tincuptincup Member
Okay, that was kinda fun. I was first thinking I'd like one of those donuts, then I started down the old road of why a group of crows was called a murder. Then i went all kinds of other places, just to be stopped by the usual obnoxious..." Why can't our culture be more in tuned with animals and nature... "
    Anyway, it was fun.

An anonymous Democratic group leaked a poll that shows swing voters deeply dislike Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the left wing, widening the party's rift

    (repeated from Business Insider)

Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., expressed a similar statement on Monday afternoon.

"President Trump was wrong to suggest that four left-wing congresswomen should go back to where they came from," Toomey said. "Three of the four were born in America and the citizenship of all four is as valid as mine."

He added: "I couldn't disagree more with these congresswomen's views on immigration, socialism, national security, and virtually every policy issue. But they are entitled to their opinions, however misguided they may be. We should defeat their ideas on the merits, not on the basis of their ancestry."

How come these four women are entitled to THEIR opinions
but Trump is not entitled to his?

Depends on the opinion: policy or personal attacks. We do have a pretty wide compass for freedom of speech. Trump is the president: is he speaking as the president or as an individual? K

Trump never thinks, speaks or acts as "the President." He is not a politician. He is always just Trump.

And for the very people who are shoving this "we're all immigrants" down our throats to act insulted about "going back where we came from" is hypocrisy.

Plus, just in case you haven't notice, freedom of speech... and though... are no longer allowed in the UNITED State in America.

Trump was stupid on this. Losing the gains from the hilighting of deep division inside of the dem party is pretty lame. Using a tired old trope about go back is pretty lame.
He could've gotten all he needed by hilighting the anti American garbage and the racist intent of these people.
" We don't need Black faces, without black voices...
  • whoodlerwhoodler Member
    That is an excellent point.
so many people, including Democrats, have brought up the socialist agenda of those women it is impossible to not hear about it. And it has credence... especially as it didn't come from Trump. He's not as unknowing as one might think from what he says.

So what were you asking? Something about Spacey? metoo?
    The state of netflix programming?

Actually, not anything. Your posts are reactive and not sure they are your baseline reactions or something else. Sometimes talking to you is like facing a maverick with a loaded gun: will you shoot towards my feet and make me jump, or play Russian roulette and aim for a more dealt spot. All are games...you have your fun! B)
  • whoodlerwhoodler Member
Never point a weapon unless you are prepared to use it. Guns are not playthings.

Not sure what you mean about my posts being "reactive." They pretty much say what I'm thinking and I seldom post without putting thought into it, if only to check the spelling (and actual meanings/usages) of the big words.

    Good God
    Send her back?
That chant freaked me out. Chilling and kinda scary. That Trump didn't immediately say STOP is sad, that he seemed to throw wood on that fire is spooky. Knowing the other side always ratchets up, it's gonna get ugly.
Prediction.... people have started making calls the only thing keeping Trump Trump is the US Senate. Calls are being made.
If Trump is the Republican candidate in the summer of 2020, we'll be in for a long hot summer.

Trump impeachment 'wishful strain of thinking' by Democrats, Steve Kornacki says

As more Democrats push to impeach President Trump, MSNBC journalist and author Steve Kornacki said some on the left are misinterpreting the impeachment of President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s.

“I think there's a wishful strain of thinking out there among Democrats … [that] Republicans impeached Clinton and then they won the [2000] election because of it. I think they won the election in spite of it,” Kornacki, who has researched the 1990s rebuke of Clinton, said in an interview on “The Long Game,” a Yahoo News podcast.

This week the House of Representatives held a preliminary vote on impeaching Trump that failed to pass but gained the support of 95 Democrats, up from 66 last year and 58 in 2017.
