  • It's official Love the Chase (dam of California Chrome, R Sunday Surprise and Hope's Love) will be sold at the 2016 November Sale: http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/214556/love-the-chase-to-sell-at-f-t-november
  • "We named her Not a Kitten as kinda of a jab at Mr. Ramsey. " What is wrong with Perry - don't answer that question, I know. This "gentleman" did not deserve what he has been given. :/

He is one sarcastic dude! Maybe he had a run in at a sale...with Ramsey. All these guys have big egos...
  • As far as I'm concerned Perry is an a*****e! I'm so sorry CC ended up to be a ribbon draped gift to him.

LTC may land in a great place; hope it in US. Actually it is a viable sale. She is not young. It is a high risk pregnancy in terms of trying to reproduce CC. Actually, I think it is a good call on their part. Remember the sale of Better for Honour. She went for big bucks at the last sale she went through, as a black type producing older mare. She has yet to repeat what she did with Rags, Jazil, Casino, et. All. Commercial decision. I hope her buyer gets lucky!
  • I have no problem at all with the selling of LTC - she may end up in Japan, that's fine, or she may stay here - she had one wonderful foal so far. I just do not have any respect for Perry Martin.

I would like to see this foal race in U.S. just me.

I dont know about this. Just not sure. The only time he`s been a D**k is when he`s been crowded. All the things that come with a guy without a mirror, he is.
I dont think he cares if his farts are heard or smelt, I dont think he cares if his teeth are messed up or if his breath smells.
    He`s a rhino.
and he got it right. More then once
He made the right move when developing a viable company, working for himself and not for somebody else.
Gutsy, and maybe the only way he could get it.
He played the horses, bought into the same thing many here would see, and was disappointed, as some have been, and bought the one girl he thought would work.
He drug the Coburns along because he needed the validation more then the money, and won the Lottery.
Now he hangs with different people, wears different clothes, but stills feels like the guy that has a hard time getting with everybody.
Especially the people that have always called him a big dork and a smelly classmate.
its not hard to see why he feels that way, and its not hard to see why he continues to be put outside the pretty peoples circle.

  • It's about context. He probably quipped tongue-in-cheek about Sarah Ramsay without further explanation being made in the written interview (or maybe he said more, but it didn't get published)

I dunno. I've met Paul Reddam a few times, and he seems like a pretty nice guy, and he named 2 horses in a way that was poking fun at Bob Baffert so Martin isn't the only one.

Love The Chase is only 10 (younger than Z). That's not too shabby for a broodmare. She could have ten more years to reproduce.

Good point Lioness. For some reason, I thought she was 12.
  • Lot's of comments under that article, and I have to say they are fun to read.

The article answers my question about his two year old filly Not A Kitten. IMO, it's a stupid name for that filly because there is no discernable connection to Kitten's Joy. The best humor has an element of truth, likewise being clever. Because there is absolutely no tie-in to Kitten's Joy, then what's left is for one to assume it's a dig at Mr. Ramsey. I would guess he's been waiting to use that name, he just couldn't wait to use it when it would be a bit more clever, like for a filly by Tale of the Cat, or Smiling Tiger. Nope, had to get that dig in. It's not funny, just an example of Perry, the Jackass that keeps eating cactus.

Of course, that’s what we do on this Blog. Everyone, including you, is nosing around into everyone else’s barn and business. We are into Sherman’s barn, Shirreffs’ barn, O’Neil’s barn, Ramsey’s barn, the Desormeaux barn, the Zayat barn, and on and on. We do it through the social media, Facebook, the Bloodhorse and other Industry websites, the comment section of news releases and commentary’s, and through Forums and Blogs like this. BTW, this would be a rather boring site if not for all the nosing around done by everyone who posts on the Forum. So to the likes of whoodler, JJfrom MN, QueenZFann22, KMM, Keta, jaefeathered, shirlee, EliRose, bigherbie, marepower, tincup, RR12, Celeste, VA_in_CA and Zenyen, Sarinne, and many others too numerous to mention, thank you for nosing around and posting.
