Lower level competition. Still trying to get his confidence back.

He's got a real mental block about running in the afternoon which is understandable given what has happened to him in two of his races. He's got talent, we can see it in his morning workout numbers, but he's not bringing that form into the afternoon.

Let him beat up on lower tier horses, see if that helps him. If he still doesn't want anything to do with it, might be time to start talking about his next career.
  • Race 5 is next, a little over 15 minutes from now.

Time to retire him. Did nothing. He'd make someone a nice little riding horse. I don't see any reason to use him at stud, and I can't understand why anyone would breed to him, (with the intention to race) even with a free stud fee.

    He finished 8th

    Wow. Poor guy.
  • Posting out of habit. Not sure how much interest, as a racehorse, I have in this one anymore. Much more interested, at this point, in the Tapit x LTC.

I'm so glad that Faversham is not racing in California.
  • I'd like to see his races spaced closer together.

I got an early notice he's racing at Belterra soon? Or maybe that was a different horse I'm following? Deleted it because I was reading email half asleep lol

Essentially a riverside racetrack on the Ohio River, right by Kentucky.
  • Is it on par with Los Alamitos or a step or two below?

    Cincinnati, Ohio

  • Probably about a step below. I think. It's a casino. Used to be Coney Island Racetrack and then River Downs Racetrack. Originally opened in 1925. :)

Oh gee, I guess they want to try and get a second win out of him. Honestly, sometimes I wonder if things might have been different for him if they had gone down a more traditional path of keeping him in maiden special races until he broke his maiden, then on to winning an Allowance race, before trying any type of stakes race. But no, they went straight to a Stakes race after his 2nd place debute and it was pretty much downhill from there. With all the bad luck he encountered it's amazing that he was able to win one race.
