  • Finished 3rd.

Faversham was in the four to the three path through the far turn, was asked for more near the five-sixteenths pole, continued on in good order and just missed the place spot.

Sent off at 40/1. Muddy track, after making a run from last place, came in 5th.
  • Good try in the slop atleast. He could of been dead last.

    Yellow Silks
  • Ahead of a spill this time. Other horse looks okay, he took a bad step but didnt appear injured. So glad he won
  • Glad the Martins have kept him racing.
  • Martin Garcia
Didn't know he was at turfway.
    Fav
Did he race at Golden Gate?
  • Glad to see he won
  • Speed figures are in lower claiming ranks.
  • Apparently fast enough for Friday's crowd.
  • Photo of his second win.

  • Since it has been stated that they plan to stand him at stud and based on how they rushed him into stakes company, in only his second start, after his debut, I'm really wondering if his next start is going to be December 31, at Turfway, in the Prairie Bayou. I think they are desperate to get some Black Type under him.

I'll always wonder how things might have been if they had gone slow with him and kept him in Maiden races until he broke his maiden and then kept him in Allownace races until he proved he was ready to try a stakes. If he hadn't been CC's little brother I doubt he would have been entered into the California Cup Derby in only his second start.
  • With the lack of interest in Chrome do you really think any "Good" quality Mares will be sent to Faversham?

No. I've always said that. LOL. At least no one with any sense.

  • No one had a real interest in Tapit until he started siring real runners. If only we could have a story like that again.

Boy, that's a stretch, Rachel. Tapit was a G1 winner. More comparable to Tapit, Into Mischief is breaking all records, FWIW.
  • I remember a lot of Tapit-dissing here...
now he's the first stallion whose offspring have brought home $150 MILLION.
