Isn't that why he didn't run until late 3? Needed to grow into himself? Too bad that isn't the way of things in the US.

Sherman said he's putting Dortmund in Junior's stall because D is so big and it is a double.

That is the song you referred to before. Not sure what you are getting at, tincup. Light through silk; nebulous as ever. Fun. K

    Light through silk...???...
I'm gonna shape that some how...
Has the feel of scent so softly which is mine.
    I like it.
The whistle is much more difficult
    Hard and teasing
    Laughing and mean

    ...and confident..
All roads are made...travel at your own risk

Light through silk is my poetic invention. Sometimes easier to see the world through gossamer feathers...more gentle. I am very tired of the harsh realities we have been facing. Need some poetic relief. Just me. K
PS. And so not part of this forum; sorry guys! K
  • Beautiful
I often think of..." through a glass, darkly.."
And know in the moment..."...and there's nothing new under the sun..."
These have been a motivation of mine my whole life and believe with all my heart this truth.

That was a great book. No real poet, but love the language, words, and images, etc.
  • Oh but I do believe there were great poets.
It's my feeling one couldn't get to those words without the feel of the time.
I get its popular to dismiss the ideas of the past, but I think we do so at our peril
I've read the bible many times
    I've read Shakespeare as many
    Dickens though...he's my hero
Whitman paints in words of color
    Dickens with words of sorrow
..but these words...all of them...were already written
    Yes...already written
I just can't see how bigger it can get
  • Classically bent you may be Tinny but I always think of Kerouac when you are enigmatic rather than poignant.
Please take as a compliment as it is intended.

    Thanks Keta!
  • Maybe more than necessary posts regarding Arrogate's work. I would think one would be sufficient but maybe not. Slap me on the wrist and tell me no but we seem to be having repetition in posts lately.

I agree. I don't think we need this forum to be somewhere where you can find almost literally every single article/Tweet/picture about horse racing ever.

I wasn't referring to your post. You were just answering someone's question.
