I'm definitely interested in seeing this two year-old make it to the races...California Chrome x Barbara Orr. I have a feeling he was pin-hooked and will next be seen in a two year-old sale.
Larry Mejias, who bought the Street Sense x Honey Ride filly, is actually a pinhooker. He's a client of mine down in Florida and will almost certainly be entering this filly in one of the 2yo in training sales this upcoming spring.
From Michele MacDonald on facebook: She is the living image of her father -- in a bigger, stronger frame at this stage of her life, thanks to her mother. From the first crop of Horse of the Year Gun Runner, introducing his daughter, Gun Moll. This Summer Wind Farm-bred lass, who just turned 2 and is now in Ocala receiving early training from Eddie Woods, was produced by fleet Test Stakes (G1) heroine Sweet Lulu, a stout, 16.3-hand daughter of Mr. Greeley. Currently in foal to Into Mischief and believed to be carrying a colt who will be bred on the identical cross as likely 2020 Horse of the Year Authentic, Sweet Lulu placed in two additional G1 races during her racing career. She is a candidate to produce a top racehorse, and Gun Moll could be the one. https://scontent.ffsd2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/138261985_10158124025388019_106011512962134642_o.jpg?_nc_cat=106&ccb=2&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=smLe_WJohP0AX_2M-vG&_nc_ht=scontent.ffsd2-1.fna&oh=bd5689eae60783781fcdc642547b9e11&oe=60230F2D
From Michele MacDonald on facebook: Sired by the current king of American racing and produced by a princess, could this be our next queen of hearts on the track? Wearing a lush Kentucky winter coat for her latest photo shoot, this is ROYAL MISCHIEF, the Summer Wind Farm-bred daughter of Spendthrift’s record-breaking leading sire Into Mischief, whose most outstanding feat has been giving the world 2020’s likely American Horse of the Year Authentic. Just like Authentic, Royal Mischief is out of Mr. Prospector line mare. Her dam, Princess Arabella (Any Given Saturday), was a stakes winner for Authentic’s trainer Bob Baffert and she already has produced multiple graded stakes-placed Ulele (Candy Ride). Royal Mischief boarded a van with five other fillies last week for the trip to Ocala, where she is receiving early training from Eddie Woods. https://scontent.ffsd2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/138427507_10158126428323019_1469152069283801562_o.jpg?_nc_cat=102&ccb=2&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=7mT1KsubF08AX_IfZ0D&_nc_ht=scontent.ffsd2-1.fna&oh=ccd10f4d46fc9845d07bf0733005c3f4&oe=60222E6F
From Michele MacDonald on facebook: While the racing world remains in mourning for the inestimable loss of Prince Khalid Abdullah this week, there is reason to rejoice with the announcement from staff that his #Juddmonte Farms empire will continue onward under the direction of the prince’s family. For the more than four decades that Prince Khalid operated Juddmonte, his horses and bloodlines influenced the breed mightily around the world. So many farms owe thanks for valuable members of their broodmare bands or young bloodstock that are distinguished with Juddmonte blood, including Summer Wind Farm, which particularly prizes two young fillies sired by the phenomenal champion #Frankel. This is FRANKLY SPEAKING, a newly-turned juvenile (although her actual birthday is not until May 14). Not only is she by Frankel, she is out of the Juddmonte-bred mare Argumentative (Observatory), who was multiple stakes-placed in France during her racing career. Argumentative’s immediate female family is American, with her dam, stakes-placed Discuss, by Danzig, and her second dam, multiple stakes winner Private Line, by Damascus’s influential son Private Account. Other members of this family include G1 winners Matiara, Indonesienne & Unforgotten, who scored in elite company in the USA, Europe and Australia. Summer Wind owner Jane Lyon acquired Argumentative from the Juddmonte consignment at the 2018 Tattersalls December sale while the mare was carrying Frankly Speaking. Argumentative is currently in foal to #Mendelssohn and is believed to be carrying a filly, due in early March. …. (Footnote: As you can see, Frankly Speaking has similar markings and coloring to fellow 2yo Lasting Tribute, American Pharoah’s half sister, and the two have frequently “hung out” together in the field, looking like two beautiful sisters when seen from a distance. They even have that same distinctive white chin!) https://scontent.ffsd2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/138920723_10158134695238019_6313817502925753474_o.jpg?_nc_cat=102&ccb=2&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=DI1U8qCn7K0AX9iRiLY&_nc_ht=scontent.ffsd2-1.fna&oh=8a1b0d5c6e3b56f03a6010a522d45bad&oe=602949EF

We could call them the Sensational Six. They are the first of the newly-turned Summer Wind Farm juvenile fillies to travel to Florida for their early training with Eddie Woods, and they are a smashing group. This is none other than SWEETENED, the Candy Ride filly out of #Zenyatta’s half sister #Eblouissante (Bernardini). She is big and dark like her mother with some racy sleekness contributed by her father (sire of the likes of Summer Wind-bred champion Game Winner and other champs Gun Runner & Shared Belief). Needless to say, she has all the potential in the world. Even on a dark, cloudy, blustery January day in Kentucky, she gleamed with hope before boarding the van to Ocala. She most certainly is one who stirs the soul with the heady intoxication of excitement that only a young racehorse can provoke.
