Does anyone know anything about the name? Does it have any significance?

John had his first winner today at Belmont since the move. Race 7 with a WAR FRONT colt named Peace and Justice went wire to wire. http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/race/USA/BEL/2013/6/12/7

  • Rachel, I didn't recognize many mares from his dam's side, but boy, there's plenty of good stuff on the masculine side.

Just checked ....Special Wish is a filly...and one of my "clues" I look for is Ribot...he is there
  • RachelRachel Member

I looked her up on a pedigree site went 5 generations back.....Ribot was a very interesting stallion...European...Italian I think...16 wins 0 losses...I think...doing this from memory....after he retired to stud ...he first stood in England then he was to come to the US for 5 yrs....but he was beyond " difficult" and when time came to ship him him home no one would insure him for the journey...so he stayed here....he is by many considered the "strongest" thoroughbred ever...will check my details but I think this is the story.....so I like to see him somewhere as a strength/stamina influence....he is buried at Darby Dan
  • You ladies, who are not bettors, are pretty good at following the bloodlines of these great horses. I have to admit, as a bettor, the pedigree doesn't mean much after a horse has had a few stats.
