Ebby and her Dubawi colt, born 3May2018. He's got the family ears.

Pictures from Liz Maddux which were also posted on the Summer Wind Farm facebook page, 3May2018.

There is also a video: https://www.facebook.com/lizmaddux/videos/10216151420001019/

These were already posted in the Foal Watch thread.
  • Well, it won't hurt to have them here. I haven't read the Foal Watch thread in ages, so wasn't aware. Since Ebby has her own thread, I checked here and didn't see any announcement even. I have 1k unread posts on the Foal Watch to read if I ever get time. hahaha

It is funny that you posted all of the same pictures as Especiallyhorses did.

Did any of you see the updated photos of Littleprincessemma '18 colt? He is gorgeous. On the Summer Wind fb page.

So what? This is Ebby's site, why shouldn't her foal's photos be included.

Those fuzzy brown ears are pretty awesome, love seeing her being a momma
  • LOVE Ebby so much. So good to see her well and happy and this baby is adorable! Those ears. Oh my heart.

Thanks for posting these. Ebby looks great as does her foal.
KMM - good example of having info in two Discussions.
Foal Watch is general. This is specific to one horse.
FYI-no surprise photos would be the same.
Most of our photos come from published sources.
Same shots, same photographers, same farms,.
Ebby has been one of the more elusive mares for finding photos and info.
    Again thanks VA
    Keta
  • Love Ebby and love seeing her beautiful babies!
  • I wonder where this foal will race, Dubawi is almost impossible to get into in the Uk as he is a top turf sire, not sure if he has any runners over dirt though. If sold at auction and assuming the foal is correct he could bring a pretty penny to european/japanese buyers because of Dubawi

He has two DWC winners, Prince Bishop winning on the new dirt in 2015 over Chrome.
Mubtaahij is also very honest and multiple G1 placed on dirt.

Much better strike record on dirt than say, Galileo.
  • Well remembered eli rose, forgot about prince bishop - a good harding knocking gelding who raced until eight i think. Was equally effective on both surfaces. Also totally agree that Dubaw's record on dirt is much better.
  • Thank you for posting the photos! Yes, he certainly has the family ears!

Here we go. I was pretty sure recent photos had been posted.

There are over 2,000 comments posted on this Thread and less than 50 on the other.
  • @bleubetty. Thanks for posting that cute video of Ebby racing for carrots. I sure hope they post a photo of Holiday Music.
  • He has been named Bluenote.

  • Well, at least it's not Blueprint
  • Ha-ha. I hope we find why that name (Bluenote).

  • I think it's a play on her name
  • I like it. It's different and one I haven't heard before.
  • How so? Her name means dazzling.

  • eBLOUissante, BLUEnote, I suppose. I don't get the "note," but the blue is clever at least.

Actually it is a cool term in music, and appears in jazz too.
