Don Juan Kitten, a KJ I named, is running in the G3 Saranac Stakes this Saturday at Saratoga. He is out of Romance Project. That's how I came up with the name.
Another KJ I named is Casanova Kitten, he being out of Spectacular Tale. I thought about the stories/tales of Casanova when coming up with that name. His trainer, Wesely Ward, was very high on him before his first race, and even thought he might have a Queen's Plate runner on his hands. Unfortunately, he has not put it all together yet. He ran a very good second in his debut, and then blew the start and was rank in his second start, but I did like the way he finished. I'm looking for a much improved horse in his 3rd start.
The first ever KJ I named, Jolly Good Kitten, was a stakes winner, Camelot Kitten another I named was a stakes winner, Don Juan Kitten is stakes-placed and I'm hoping he will win a stakes and I'm very excited about Casanova Kitten, because I think the best is yet to come.
Ramsey Farms has just announced that it is offering 100% of it's 2020 yearling crop for sale. I knew this was coming, well maybe not that they would sell the entire crop (haha), but most it. I suppose this means that there is a good chance there won't be any need to ask for name suggestions this coming January 2021. Those days are coming to an end.

Here are two that are by sires who won or placed in a classic race and are out of a Kitten's Joy mare; Nyquist winner of the Kentucky Derby and Frosted, 2nd in the Belmont.
