  • Thank you! He sure is a beauty!
  • If you go back and look at the pictures from 2014 with Z Princess, you see Lifeline as a foal. He was her paddock mate until they were weaned.
  • He sure has grown up beautifully
  • Lady Pamela retired to be bred to Uncle Mo: http://www.drf.com/news/lady-pamela-retired-be-bred-uncle-mo

Lifeline (Tapit x Life Is Sweet) is listed as an also eligible for a maiden special weight on March 12th for 3 year olds going one mile on turf at Santa Anita. He will be ridden by Flavien Prat. He is trained by Richard Mandella and owned by the Wygods.
  • Nice to see Lifeline win his maiden today. He did great. Good job old friend of Z Princess.

Now that his older sister has retired to be bred to Uncle Mo, nice to have another Life Is Sweet offspring to follow. He sure is a good-looking boy.

  • Great picture. Thanks for sharing. He is indeed gorgeous.
  • Didn't realize Lifeline is a full brother of Lady Pamela and there is another one as well, foaled in 2015. Life is Sweet has 5 registered foals and there is probably one from last year, too, and she'll probably have one this year also. Nice. She has a good pedigree and the 3 Tapit foals have even better ones.

Video of the race can be found at the link below. You have to go down to Race 10 at SA. He looked impressive.

  • Lifeline is another Tapit beauty and out of a great mare, too. He sure looked good, hope he has continued success on the track. I had forgotten that Life Is Sweet's sire was Storm Cat. The owners must really like the cross with Tapit. Three foals by Tapit and all three are grey!

    Lifeline is just so handsome
  • Lifeline is entered in Race 5, an allowance option claiming race over 1 1/16th mile set to run 3:06 p.m. Pacific time Saturday at Santa Anita. He will be ridden by Flavien Prat.

    I like Flavien Part.
  • Lifeline finished 4th Saturday at Santa Anita, beaten by 11 3/4 lengths. He started slow and never seemed to get hold of the dirt track. Analysts seemed to think he'd be better to return to turf.

Labeq (Tapit x Life Is Sweet) 2 year old colt owned by Shadwell Stable has been working at Greentree Training Center. Here is his equibase page: http://www.equibase.com/profiles/Results.cfm?type=Horse&refno=9907791&registry=T&rbt=TB
  • Lifeline (Tapit-Life Is Sweet) is entered in Sunday's seventh race at Santa Anita, an allowance optional claiming race at 1 1/8th mile over turf. This again is Z Princess' former paddock mate who was going gray already in their weanling photos. Can't believe he's 4 already.

(Or anyone else who knows more than I about training -- big group, I know. ) Today, Lifeline had a workout, only two days before he will race. Is that unusual? Just curious. Here's the work, looks like it wasn't exactly taxing:

    Lifeline (4-Year-Old Colt)
    Date: January 19, 2018
    Track: SANTA ANITA PARK
    Distance: Three Furlongs
    Time: 38:00 Handily
    Track Condition: Fast
    Surface: Dirt
    Rank: 7/15
