There was another article in Blood-Horse some time ago that stated Joyce and Albert Bell gelded all their colts but their "farm manager" (can't remember what he was called) suggested they should not geld this very nice colt.... :-)
@QueenZFan22 --- thanks for posting that "throwback" article on Medaglia d'Oro, it's so informative. When a particular horse or subject grabs my attention, I often go "web-crawling" in search of gems like this article. I honestly was not aware of this part of his "back-story". Again, thanks --- it was a great read.
Oh, this is too great. I have wanted this breeding for years, too. Now we really, really have to hope for a filly because he is such a great sire for fillies. This is so wonderful. I was afraid he was getting too old and would be retired soon. Glad they went to him. Yippee.

He is 17 (and i assume healthy?) so hopefuly he will still be breeding for a few years yet.

There is the New York Triple Tiara, which is run on only New York tracks. But not a triple crown in the same sense as the KD, Preakness, Belmont

The current New York Triple Tiara is Acorn, Coaching Club Oaks, Alabama. The previous one was Mother Goose, Coaching Club Oaks, Alabama.
