Materiality never did show up on the Bloodhorse stallion register. He hasn't shown up anywhere else, either, that I have been able to find. And there has been no indication that he has resumed training. I have been checkingon him frequently. But it is like he vanished completely.

Has anyone else heard or seen any news about him?
According to this article, he was retired last summer due to a soft tissue injury. Stallion arrangements weren't known yet at the time it was written. However, I have found no other news about him since. All websites say "TBA" (from last year).
I posted before on another thread. Good old fashioned pedigree. Sound and winning at 8. Grass horse so don't know about interest in U.S. GII winner. Handsome boy!
Access rdig to this DRF article, Slumber was vannee off the track after the Manhattan. Tests were OK. He will be given a month rest and then reevaluated. But trainer Chad Brown says retirement probable.

I CAN assure you that he's 100% fine and looking sharp. Super good-looking horse. According to my boss CB says he's likely done, owners might be thinking otherwise. He's had a great career.

I saw these when I was looking around for any word on Materiity. I did a qui k check to see if posted in forum and didn't see anything. If I missed it and this is a repeat, sorry.

I had heard BBK was to stand this year at Calumet but I noticed they had been racing him this year. I wonder why?

I think it was just that his stud rights were sold, not that he was ever meant to be standing at stud in 2016.
I hunted for Materiality on the internet yesterday. Still nothing. I hope one of these days I will hit exactly the right combination of words and there he will be.
I used to do a lot of research when I worked, and the right words in the right order can do wonders. With Materiality, hitting the right combination is rather like hitting the right lotto numbers
Fan favorite and beauty "queen" Juba (Tapit - Adorodancer by Danzig Connection) has been retired to stud at Taylor Mountain Farm in West Virginia. No blacktype, half to Saint Anddan.
