Daily Racing Form Friday June 13 2014 As @DRFWelsch tweeted earlier, Mucho Macho Man in light training at Gulfstream w/ bruising of hind ankles Mucho Macho Man will jog for about another 45 days before being evaluated at end of July. Repeat win in #BC14 Classic still goal.
Mucho Macho Man - The big six-year-old almost won in 2012, and he did win in 2013. Triple M has been excellent at Santa Anita, as well as at ten furlongs in his career. If he can get over his hind ankle issues sooner than later, there is good reason to believe he will be right back in the thick of things in the Classic once again
hind ankle bruising has me nervious. Mine That Bird had that in all four feet, he had to be retired. Macho works fine and all and hes full of energy but i feel he wont be fully recovered unless they turn him out somewhere, not keep having him do workouts, even if its just a jog
Mucho Macho Man (William Hill: 10-1, Finley: 25-1): To date all he's won this year is a restricted stakes race. He's been sidelined with bruised ankles and will need to get back on track soon to have any shot at this year's title. He can pull it off with a big fall, which would have to include back-to-back wins in the Breeders' Cup Classic.

Mike Welsch @DRFWelsch 1m Awaiting imminent announcement from Adena Springs Farm but Mucho Macho Man, the reigning Breeders' Cup Classic champion, has been retired................
I left a note on Moochies page. While it's sort of sad to see him leave the racing scene, I think this is the best thing for him all considered. What a lovely running career he's had. I'm SO glad he's still healthy and basically sound.
In all honesty I thought Mucho Macho Man was a gelding! LOL. I'm very happy to see that he's off to start his next career as a stud. And look forward to his foals.
